The only time Akshay Kumar & Kajol paired up to give a simple yet wonderful hit "Yeh Dillagi" with Saif Ali Khan for company -  A movie inspired from Hollywood hit movie "Sabrina". Though Saif walked away crooning the mega hit "Ole Ole" this song did manage to hold on its own and remains one of the rain songs worth listening to be there rains or no rains.

Rain has always been an integral part of Bollywood movies. Rarely has any actress escaped a rain song in her career. Here we see Smita Patil one of Bollywood's powerhouse and most revered actress flaunting her glamour quotient in what else than rain.

Her most ardent fans probably may not have been able to accept her in this role but then when it's Smita Patil not in her usual elements who is complaining. She seems to be enjoying the adulation with song that literally means if I slip, fall don't bother picking me up rather be careful for you may slip too. With Amitabh playing a perfect foil and Kishore da and Asha Bhosle setting the song on fire with their playfulness  in background there is hardly any doubt you won't like to play the song twice. And not to forget Bappi Da....for playful yet a sensuous song.

I literally stumbled upon this gem by Kailash Kher...till the time I heard it..I was not even aware there is such a song. But then when I heard it.....I have lost count of how many times have played it again and again.....

One of the all time great musician duo of Shankar - Jaikishan who are considered the pioneers and major contributors of Indo-Jazz made effective use of saxophone, trumpet, sitar and other Indo-Western instruments in the creations. The this song stands a perfect testimony to it.  

Add Shammi - Rafi duo who spice it up their indelible mark as usual....Shammi Kapoor and Mumtaz grooving to typical Shammi way of dancing and you have gem of a song that's not just good to listen and delight to watch but also to set your foot tapping. The beautifully played saxophone adds a real zing to the song.

Wow ....what a song.....Evergreen Dev Anand romancing and an equally elegant Nutan...add an enchanting Mohammed Rafi and master composer S. D. Burman... Not to forget director Vijay Anand for beautifully filming and Hasrat Jaipuri for simple yet beautiful words. A perfect recipe for memorable music...Tere Ghar Ke Samne numbers dole out just that and Pyaar ka raag suno re is one such gem from them.....hmmmmm......

What's a Bollywood movie without a rain song. Over the decades Bollywood has doled out some gems based on the theme rain. And boy when it's rain....you can't really do without humming one of these for sure.
